Dear Residents
Apologies to those residents we could not see when we visited your street in January.
We spoke to many residents about the various issues of anti social behaviour (which includes vandalism, burglary, violent behaviour, public nuisance etc. on your street. Majority of residents wanted the access to the footpaths (both at the top and tail end of the street restricted).
We have now submitted a formal request to the Council requesting that access to the footpaths be restricted out-of-hours to prevent further anti-social behaviour. The Council will investigate the request and will contact us with the outcome. The outcome of their assessment will determine the priority (and funds) which will in turn determine how soon the work will be done.
Please note it is not a quick process as the Council has about £5m requests for work competing for circa £1m funds available.
We will keep you updated (by email and via the web: www.cllrtunde.blogspot.com or www.chaffordcharlie.co.uk).
Thank you for your patience, but please feel free to contact us if you have any further issues.
Regards
Cllr Tunde Ojetola & Cllr Charlie Key
