Chafford Marks Remembrance Day



Chafford Hundred marked the remembrance day with a service by Father Alex Gowing-Cumber in the All Saint Church, Chafford Hundred.

There was also the laying of a wreath on behalf of the Mayor of Thurrock by me at the war memorial in Kershaw Close, Chafford Hundred.

The Church service was attending by residents of Chafford Hundred including the Chair of Chafford Hundred Community Forum, Philomena Cleavely.

Remembrance Day


Dear Residents,

This Sunday - 8th November 2009 @ 10.30am, Cllr Veryard and I will join Revd Alex Gowing-Cumberand the Beacon Church laying a wreath and saying a word of prayer in memory of all the soldiers that have fought and died on our behalf.

There will be a service in the Beacon Church immediately afterwards at 11am.

This is the 3rd year running that we have marked the solemn event in Chafford Hundred.
