A MOTORCYCLIST who died following a tragic accident in Chafford Hundred has been named.
John Eggleton, 41, of Hawkins Drive, Chafford Hundred lost control of the Suzuki motorbike he was riding on Wednesday morning, before crashing into a road-sign.
John, a welder and family man, was taken to Basildon hospital but later died.
In a statement, his family have said: "John was a dearly loved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend to everyone that knew him.
"All family members and friends will greatly miss John very much."
The accident happened on Devonshire Road, Chafford Hundred, shortly before 7am, closing the road between Drake Road and London Road for nearly six hours whilst forensic investigations were carried out and spilt fuel was cleared from the road.
There was another accident in the same area just hours after the road had re-opened. Two cars were involved in the collision that partially blocked Drake Road at around 4pm.
John's family have not yet released any details regarding his funeral.

i'v seen a few bikers racing down that rd,if the weight limit was removed it would slow things down a bit.
