Dear Residents,
Waste and recycling collections were suspended on Monday and Tuesday (21 and 22 January) and, depending of Wednesday's weather could be again.
However, Thurrock Council believes it will be able to carry out some service tomorrow and for the rest of the week although the brown bin (kitchen and garden waste) collection has been suspended until Monday, 28 January.
For recycling (blue) and general waste (green/grey) collections due on Monday or Tuesday, people are asked to leave bins out and the council will endeavour to collect them by the end of Saturday.
People whose collections for recycling or residual waste are due on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday are asked to put their bins out as normal the council will we will endeavour to collect them on the due day.
For up-to-date information on the situation, residents can log on to the council's website (www.thurrock.gov.uk) and click on Ready for Winter or the Waste and Recycling section, follow the council's Twitter feed twitter.com/thurrockcouncil or like us on Facebook (www.facebook.com/thurrockcouncil) all of which will be updated when information is available.
