Update: Refuse and Recycling and Winter Gritting

Dear Residents

Following the suspension of refuse and recycling last Monday and Tuesday due to the weather conditions I am pleased to let you know that the Council has caught up on all refuse and recycling from last week, except for kitchen and garden waste which was suspended for the whole week.

Therefore the normal collection of all three bins is back this week.

Gritting has been ongoing due to the low temperatures but there is an expectation for the temperature to increase this week so the gritting may stop for the time being. The Council still has sufficient stocks of salt if the weather deteriorates again.

For those who contacted me about the lack of gritting in their areas, this is still being looked into and I will contact you separately once I receive a response.
