Calling all volunteers!

Unless you have missed all the news coverage you will know that the Olympic Flame is making its journey across towns and villages in the country and will arrive at Grays on Friday 6 July!

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for all our communities to shine and we are expecting thousands of people to line the 3km route from Socketts Heath to Hogg Lane. There will be significant road closures along the entire route from 2pm to 7pm.

It will be fun, vibrant and we will be making history, so we need more stewards to help us manage the crowds. If you want to be part of this historic event you can still sign up as a volunteer.  You will also have the best view of all the action!

If you wish to volunteer as a steward please email Torchrelay@thurrock.gov.uk.
