National Grid Works - Update

I took time yesterday to drive round South Chafford with a representative of National Grid. (Those residents who came to the Community Forum meeting last week would have met him there).

We went to observe the work going on at each location and he confirmed that National Grid will be on site till about October 2010.

The sites are:

• Chafford Hundred Station Car Park
  
• Howard Road - behind Travel Lodge
  
• Rawlyn Close
  
• Grenville Road
  
• Southwell Close - alternative parking has been provided

In all cases, the grass will be re-planted once the job is finished, and it will be monitored to ensure that it is 'put-right'.
