Change in Administration

Although across Thurrock at the last election, Conservatives won more seats than Labour yesterday the BNP supported Labour Group to take over administration of the Council.

Therefore with the support of the BNP, Cllr John Kent is now the Leader of the Council.

The full details of all his Cabinet will be published shortly.

Also elected yesterday are:

Cllr Anne Cheale - Mayor of Thurrock
Cllr Eddie Hardingham - Deputy Mayor of Thurrock

What does it mean for you as a resident?

Well it means as Conservatives no longer hold the purse string in Thurrock, it will be more challenging delivering some of the manifesto promises. Be rest assured however, that I will continue fighting on behalf of Chafford Residents to ensure that the essential services are delivered in the community.

As usual, I will keep you posted.

Regards
