After 6 frantic weeks of campaigning, the election has finally come and gone. The results have been widely published – and as stated previously, Steve and Garry retain their seats on Council.
The official beginning of this new municipal year is 21 May 2008 with Annual Council. This meeting elected the Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Leader of Council, Cabinet and other committee chairs and members. As follows:

You will note that all four Chafford councillors are now in Cabinet, which means that we should be in a position to influence policy further and ensure that residents’ views are converted into policy and are implemented.
