School Places Update

Although we are yet to arrive at a solution to the immediate problem, I have again proposes to Thurrock Council the possiblility of the use of 'spare' classroom in Chafford Primary. I expressed the view that a proposal for the class and plans to recruit a teacher should be made to the school for the Governors to consider.

I am waiting for the return of the Director for Children (who is responsible for education) to come back to me on this.

I'll keep you posted.

It wouldn't have been so bad if you had managed to provide some sort of reasonable public transport provision to C100, than at least people could have travelled using that. The bus service is dire and despite you looking at the transport in the past, it's still p*** poor in C100

We had a deal with X80 to run via Chafford Hundred on Sunday, but the very next day it began operating, someone complained about the noise it was making on a Sunday.
Although that did not deter the operator, the service was not used and therefore not commercially viable. That is why it was stopped.
