We did this as a team

This was a real team effort.

Conservative supporters from all over the country volunteered to come to Newark to knock on doors and talk to people about the issues that matter to them and their families.

And those who couldn't get there in person made phone calls instead, giving up their free time to speak to people in the constituency ahead of this crucial by-election.

And the result? The people of Newark elected a great Conservative MP in Robert Jenrick, who will be a strong local voice and help secure a better future for the area and for Britain.

This was our first by-election win as a governing party in 25 years - and one we achieved as a team. So a huge thank you to everyone who played their part in this crucial campaign.

But we need to keep going, showing those same levels of commitment, that same effort and teamwork, every day between now and the General Election in May 2015.

So, if you haven't already, please sign up to Team2015 - our dedicated volunteer network - today.

We need to work around the clock to say very clearly that we've got a long-term economic plan, we're getting Britain back to work, we're cutting people's taxes, and we're helping hardworking families.

The job isn't finished yet, but we're on the right track - so let's stick at it. Please sign up to play your part:
