It is Conservative party policy to return planning powers back to Local Authorities, which means residents (and the elected representatives) will be the people to determine our community.

For the benefit of the political illiterate; the original idea for "Development Corporations", came from the Tories in the eighties, and was championed by Michael Heseltine. They were used to redevelop the Docklands and to overide local opinion and NIMBYism. Your party let the genie out of the bottle, and now you complain?
