Grass cutting in Chafford Hundred.

In response to the many comments about the grass not cut in Chafford Hundred, the council have responded with the comments below:

"We are currently working in the Chafford Hundred area2 and will be out of the area by tomorrow close of play. The frequency for grass cutting is now monthly cuts following the reductions in budget available for grounds maintenance and the same frequency applies to street cleansing services in the residential areas."

Which basically means the frequency for cutting the grass has reduced to once a month to save money.

Thank you Tunde - as usual you are responsive to local concerns. I cant understand why a dedicated static street cleanser (litter picker) cannot be assigned to Chafford Hundred where over 5000 houses pay council tax which equates to millions. I suspect the officers who set this new policy do not live in the area. Surely this can be reviewed?
