Improvements to Chafford Hundred Station

Thurrock Council under the LSTF funding have produced three station travel plans so far for Chafford Hundred, Grays and Stanford-le-Hope

Changes resulting from the plans include:
  • Improved cycle storage and a new bus shelter at Chafford Hundred station
  • improved crossing point at the front of Grays station, 80 extra cycle spaces front and back, and better lighting and clearing of overgrown vegetation in an alleyway beside the station.
  • plans for new signage, promotion of plusbus and possible cycle hire at Stanford-le-Hope station Travel plans for Ockendon and Purfleet will be finalised by end of March 2014.

The plan is to make lasting improvements and encourage a green mode of transport to Thurrockrailway stations to benefit the environment and reduce congestion.
