You may have noted that there was a burger van located at off Rainbow Road at the site being proposed for Youth Facilities.
Residents of Rainbow Road discussed this with me on Thursday and Friday last week.
I went there today and along with PC James (the police officer for Chafford Hundred) we asked the owner to move from the premises as he does not have planning permission for the site.
I am pleased to say that he has now moved from the location and PC James and I will keep an eye out to ensure he does not return.
If you however notice him there, please bring this to my attention - tojetola@thurrock.gov.uk

Are you determined to ensure no one or nothing comes to Chafford 100
The Burger Van is currently trading illegally as he requires planning permission to trade where he is.
Residents need to have a say whether they want to have this van or not. At the moment most people living in the vicinity are against it.
Secondly, the location the burger van is using is earmarked for youth facilities of which there is a lottery bid of £500,000.
If any business wants to start up in Chafford, they need to go through the legal route - which will enable residents express their views and create awareness.
