Gully Cleaning - Clarification

Dear Residents

You may recall the flooding issues in Chafford over the Summer months when there was loads of rain.

We raised the points about the apparent lack of gully cleaning and officers have detailed the procedure as follows:

* A call should be made to Thurrock Council's the contact centre in order for the request to be logged
* The Contact centre will forward the request on to the Highways Department who have responsibility for authorising the cleaning
* Once authorised, the requests will be priorities and subsequently implimented by the Environment Team.
