Lack of Waste Collection in Harper Close
I have been made aware of the problems with waste collections in this road.
I have discussed the situation with the Senior Manager from Thurrock Council responsible for waste collections and have advised him that I will be knocking on your door(s) to obtain further information about the missed collections.
Although it has yet to be confirmed, many times, lack of access due to parking on both sides of the road deters the collection vehicle from access. The Council’s Waste Department and Highways Department will investigate this further and consult your views on the best solution. I will keep you updated on it.
However, I can verify that the day for collection of garden waste, general waste, and recycling waste remains as Tuesday. On the occasions when for reasons yet unknown the waste cannot be collected on the specified day, it is likely that a further attempt to collect the waste will be made either later on Tuesday or Wednesday.
It is important to get it right because from September 2009 the Council will be rolling out the new 3-bin collection scheme.
If you have any comments can you please let me have your views. You can contact me by email: Cllr Tunde or phone 07971 215640; otherwise you can write directly to me at the above (Council) address.
Yours sincerely
