Residents and campaigners will be pleased to note:
There will be an extra class in both Chafford Primary School and Warren Primary this year.
The process that will be followed to offer the sixty places will be to use the waiting lists of each school.
All names on the waiting lists are 'ranked' using the LA's admissions policy which is published in the 2009 Primary booklet.
If a child is on both waiting lists they will be offered at the school in which they are highest placed.
Their name will be removed from the school's waiting list which they are not offered.
This does mean that each child will only receive one offer of a place.
The offer letters will be sent first class to parents on Friday 29th May.
This should settle the issue for this year, and begin the process to ensure that at least one of the classes become permanent, so that primary school places in Chafford Hundred increase to at least 240 from its current 210.
