Garry Hague Is New Council Leader

Cllr Garry Hague (North Chafford Ward) has been narrowly elected Leader of Thurrock Council tonight. The position became vacant after Cllr Terry Hipsey resigned and became a member of the Labour Party.

Cllr Hague has pledged to carry on the work of Improving the Borough.

I will keep residents updated on any other developments in the near future.

No wonder Mike Revell was so pleased in the group meeting after Hipsey resigned. But just ask him and his wife about their press release of 18 February 1977 and why they would have to resign as Councillors and from the party if this becomes public knowledge.
