IN light of the fact that the developers have submitted a planning application to Council, I have asked for this to be brought to the attention of the Planning Committee - in contrast to officers plans to privately consider it.
Once the Planning Committee have had the opportunity to air their views, their recommendation will be added to the final report which goes to the Thurrock Thames Gateway Development Co. who will have the final say on it (subject to any appeal of course).
The Planning Committee generally allows the public to pass comments on applications, but they must have received a formal objection prior to the hearing. I will certainly ask for the opportunity to speak at the hearing, where I will reiterate all the concerns Cllr Steve and I have expressed to the Developers. I will also inform them of the result of the poll which I carried out on this site (54% against the development outright, with 36% objecting to the number of dwellings proposed to be constructed).
Please still contact me if you are yet to express your views which you want me to pass across to the Planning Committee.
