- Parking provision will be put underground thereby creating more amenity and green space
- The mix and size of units changes with an emphasis on studios and 1-2 bed units and less 3 bed units. Thus the target group is young singles and couples working, many of whom will commute by train to London from the nearby station. Such a population should not create a significant demand for and pressure on school places. All the 3 bed units have been taken out of the blocks and 16 houses are proposed along the rear (north) of the site. Some of these will be offered as affordable and therefore it is assumed they will be occupied by families living in the area.
- The scheme will be designed as a ‘green village’ development with many innovative environmental features
- Negotiating plans to include a doctor’s surgery/health centre in the development
- The nursery will have a new, safer entrance

Cllr, I thought you supported the call by residents to reject the plan outright. Putting so many houses in the already congested Chafford Hundred is not good for the community. I guess your hands are tied then.
I see that the plan has been improved to include a much needed health centre and underground parking, but I still think that they should create another access linking the old A1306 runs at the back of the proposed development.
How can you say the target group is young singles and couples, then in the next sentence say ther'es 16 family homes being built.

That is the developer's view. The meeting did not actually go ahead and is postponed till Tuesday next week (18th December). I will raise your point then.

Ok, it's the 24th tomorrow. Can we have an update please. Never mind it's the developers view, it wasn't written like that on this blog, it came across as though you were publishing a fact. Is it therefore also your view ?
Why don't you and your cronies get off your backsides and work on getting the teenagers something to do, comparable with other parts of Thurrock instead of promoting "the developers view". Pitiful.
