I have today signed off an additional £58,000 funding for the N13 cycle route which runs off the rear of Vopak's land in West Thurrock.
This is separate from the amounts earmarked in this years work programme. The work should be completed before the end of March 2008.
Additionally, I am quite pleased that the Sustrans Rangers have agreed (for a small fee) to help monitor and where possible keep tidy cycle routes in the Borough.
Good deal for cyclists all round then, and a good reason to cycle - especially after the Christmas festivities.

Excellent, can the rangers get down to chafford pronto, as your council have neglected the area and many of the cycleways are overgrown, meaning one has to use the footpath.
